ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: DREAMS

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This week I've reused a piece done for another project. I like it though, and thought it was worth a revisit. Leave me a comment, let me know what you think.

Powerfull image, don´t dream in black and white, I think in a beautiful grey scale !!

It's very powerful and open to interpretation. I like how you combined the various elements, and I especially like the powerful focus on the boys raised fist.

I love it, and think its probably more powerful in black-and-white than what it would be like in color.

Thank you all for the inspiring comments. Gwyn, the piece is basically a digital illustration using photographic reference (the little boy is a cousin's son, who I bribed to pose for me with a few chocloate chip cookies) and layer upon layer of photoshop brushes in varying degrees. Carla, you hit it on the nail, the piece is intended to be open for interpretation, that's why I've never offered much of an explanation. Mystery is appealing. Thanks again everyone.

Great interpretation and love the cape!

Great Bios~
You forgot Sir Graves Ghastly, The Bowery Boys and Johnny Quest and um...Lost in Space.

We too had Tacos every Thursday (my Mom made them and invited a gang in every Thursday)night and I had Cinnamon and Toast at my Auntie's when I spent Friday nights with her when my parents were out of town.

You shoulda showed off the pair of pages. The look on the kid's face in on the other page was priceless.
